Teaching and Learning Strategies
How to creatively develop classes to promote a positive and effective learning environment
Classroom contains an enormous variety of students whereby is rarely to get similar types of learners (Sturtevant, (2006). Differences among the learners are brought about by factors such as gender, ethnic background, social economic status, and intelligence which contribute to the diversity of personalities and learning styles (Shepherd, 2001). It is important for the teacher to understand these differences among the students so as to work on strategies that will improve their performances. A teacher who uses a single method of teaching to the learners is subjected to affect their performances negatively.
