Description
Unit 8 – Collaboration
INTRODUCTION
While developing your research proposal, you have demonstrated crucial research skills, such as evaluating the empirical literature, assessing sampling methods, comparing data collection procedures, and considering the interpretive process of research. Challenges and Opportunities for Collaborative Research
In addition to the many issues we have investigated, we must consider the issue of collaboration among researchers, scholars, and clinicians. Thus, it is important to understand the advantages and opportunities of collaboration and research efforts among colleagues. These collaborative activities often lead to constructive feedback that strengthens one’s research skills and, for some researchers, publication. Challenges and Opportunities for Collaborative Research
OBJECTIVES
To successfully complete this learning unit, you will be expected to:
1. Identify the collaborative research process.
2. Evaluate challenges and opportunities at your current skill level.
LEARNING ACTIVITIES
Studies Readings
Use the Library to locate two peer-reviewed journal articles that you can use in this unit’s “Challenges and Opportunities for Collaborative Research” discussion.
Discussion 1: 1 page needed with minimum of 250 words and 2 references.
Challenges and Opportunities for Collaborative Research
Based on your selection of two peer-reviewed journal articles in this unit’s studies, identify the challenges and opportunities for collaborative research. Also, relate these challenges and opportunities to your proposed project. Finally, reflect on your researching skills from the time you started on the course to this point of actually delivering the final proposal. Challenges and Opportunities for Collaborative Research
Unit 8 Discussion 1: Challenges and Opportunities for Collaborative Research
Collaborative research involves different research participants working together to explore a common research program. The participants may range from different researchers to funding organisations that are interested in finding a solution to a common challenge.
