Every second Monday in October is celebrated across America as Columbus Day. It is in recognition of a national hero who discovered America. However, opponent of this day argue that Columbus was no hero but a murderer. The writing of Columbus, Alonso Zuazo, Bartolome de las Casa are replete with incidences that in no way can be termed as heroism. Though Columbus discovered the land of civilization, he erased the natives inhabiting the land.
